At Torres Football Academy, our vision is centered on the growth and development of young players aged 4–14. We commit to providing professional coaching built on trust and safety, ensuring every young athlete has a clear pathway to success. Through our after-school, elite and holiday programs, we instill a passion for the game, combining professional mentorship with high-performance standards to shape the future of Australian soccer.

With experience both on the field and in leadership roles, we understand the complete journey of a young footballer. We provide a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where every child feels valued and motivated to reach their full potential — not only as players, but as people.

Joaquin Torres
About the Founder
My name is Joaquin Torres, and football has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From playing the game to now coaching the next generation, my passion has always been about more than results — it’s about people, growth, and community.
I currently serve as MiniRoos Technical Director at Vipers FC, where I work closely with young players and families to create positive, supportive, and enjoyable learning environments. I believe football should be a place where children feel safe, encouraged, and excited to learn every time they step onto the field.
Playing Journey
I’ve had the privilege of playing senior football in Adelaide with:
- Vipers FC
- Adelaide Victory
- Northern Demons
- Adelaide Titans
- FK Beograd
I also spent time playing in Brisbane with Virginia United FC and internationally in Chile with San Luis de Quillota. These experiences allowed me to see how powerful football can be in bringing people together across different cultures and communities.

As both a player and a coach, I understand that every child develops at their own pace. My focus is on building confidence, strong technical foundations, respect, teamwork, and a genuine love for the game.
My goal is simple: to create an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired — while helping them grow not only as footballers, but as people.
The Torres Method focuses on professional technical evolution for ages 4-14, ensuring Adelaide's young players develop elite ball mastery and game intelligence from their very first session.
Our holistic pathway prioritizes character development alongside professional coaching, cultivating trust, discipline, and clear career routes for dedicated youth athletes.
